Freezing and chilling tunnels from Hans Jensen Engineering are known world-wide for high quality workmanship and reliability. Our tunnels are installed at well-known companies in 22 countries all over the world and the first tunnel installed in 1972 is still running.
A freeze tunnel is a process where the materials to be frozen are placed on an endless conveyor and passed through the tunnel where the refrigerants are used to cool the air and through circulation allow the material to become frozen.

Tunnel Freezing State-of-the-art tunnel freezers are hygienically designed and can quickly streamline production with in-line cryogenic freeze processing.
This type of freezer chills products on a conveyor belt that travels through the tunnel-shaped freezing area. Tunnel freezers can use gas, ventilated air, or molds to freeze the food.
A multi-purpose, cryogenic tunnel freezer The new CRYOLINE ® MT LIC from Linde is a multi-purpose, cryogenic tunnel freezer of outstanding quality, flexibility and efficiency. Adjustable, high-speed internal fans, controllable gas injection and exhaust levels optimize the application of cryogenic gases for food cooling and freezing.
In the second stage of the tunnel freezer operates with an evaporation temperature of -40° C and freeze the product to -18° C. The main advantage over other vendors’ systems is the combination of two in-line systems, which guarantee a continuous production with low defrost cycles.
